Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Intensives

Healing is a matter of time, but it is sometimes also a matter of opportunity.

What is EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, commonly referred to as EMDR, is a specialized therapy that assists the brain in recovering from various forms of trauma. When our bodies and minds become stuck from traumatic incidents or complex experiences, it can lead to intense and overwhelming emotions, such as anxiety, fear, and distress. EMDR is designed to help reprocess traumatic experiences, which, in turn, significantly reduces the emotional stress and discomfort they can cause. By utilizing innovative techniques, including guided eye movements or other types of bilateral stimulation, EMDR effectively facilitates the healing process, making it easier for individuals to work through and ultimately move on from their past traumatic experiences.
What are EMDR Intensives?
EMDR Intensives are extended therapy sessions (private pay) lasting up to 5 hours per day. These intensive sessions provide clients with an opportunity to focus deeply on trauma recovery without the constraints of traditional weekly or bi-weekly hour long sessions. This format allows for more focused progress, accelerating the healing process while providing the space needed to work through trauma.
